The LGBT2 Constituency-Based Group provides support and resources for individuals who directly report to another professional staff person doing and ultimately responsible for LGBT work on college and universities campuses. LGBT2 Members include Assistant Directors, Program Coordinators, and other center staff beyond the director.
The People of Color Constituency-Based Group is a supportive network and space for people of color within the Consortium. This group is the official voice of people of color within the Consortium. All who self-identify as people of color are welcome to join.
The Trans & Genderqueer Constituency-Based Group is a supportive network and space for people who identify under the trans and genderqueer spectrum within the Consortium. This group exists to provide support, create dialogue, and offer feedback regarding gender identity and expression issues to the Consortium.
The Anti-Racism Working Group acts as an accountability mechanism to move the Consortium towards greater inclusion of a racial justice lens into all of its projects and activities. All who support racial justice and inclusion are welcome to join.
The Education, Outreach & Advocacy Working Group is responsible for the overall education and outreach strategies including creating and disseminating information regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues and concerns to members of the Consortium. This group will also address concerns of internal to the Consortium and external (e.g. CAS, ACPA, NASPA, etc.) assessment.
The Publications and Communications Working Group is responsible for developing an overall publications strategy including creating a visibility plan for the Consortium (e.g. Consortium brochure, Consortium display board for conferences), writing press releases, developing talking points in conjunction with other committees, and coordinating media communication as it relates to the Consortium. This working group also is responsible for maintaining the web page and listservs.
The Membership, Structure, and Process Working Group is responsible for maintaining current membership lists and identifying and securing new members. This working group is also responsible for developing the structure of the Consortium. The working group answers the questions of why we exist, how we will accomplish our goals, and generally oversees the process of measuring the Consortium's progress.
The Support Services Working Group is responsible for developing strategies to support the members of the Consortium. This working group is responsible for updating the current FAQ's, developing new FAQ's and soliciting experts to author them, coordinating the Mentor Program, coordinating the Campus Track at NGLTF, and developing and maintaining the Consultant/Speaker Network and Internship Program.
The Regions Working Group coordinates the diverse regional networks of Consortium member institutions. The working group is made up of regional representatives and works to ensure member and non-member institutions have access to continuing professional development, education, advocacy, and support resources.
