  • Facilitating general programs on diversity and privilege as part of the Social Justice Unit in the Department of Student Life
  • I serve in a Res Life capacity, I advise a 5th year program, I serve as a liaison to one of our academic programs as well as other smaller responsibilities
  • Other responsibilities with the Office of the Dean of Students
  • My primary work is LGBT specific, but I also do broader social justice work that includes intersections and/or multiplicity of identities
  • Also in charge of Greek Life, and departmental assessment

  • I am considered a "Dean on Call" and have on-call responsibilities with the department
  • I also coordinate bias prevention education efforts on campus and hopefully will be coordinating with all other diversity efforts on campus to standardize the programming
  • The LGBT Resource Center is part of --- Union, Campus Life and Diversity Programs. We often collaborate on programs with other areas under our department
  • Windows On ---, a minority orientation program held at the beginning of the year. --- Community Building Program, a group of students who educate on diversity issues, Mediation Group, professionally trained mediators (I'm certified to both Mediate and train)
  • My full time position is a non-exempt administrative position. The coordinator position, as it is set up now, is seen as above and beyond work. I am paid an overtime wage for the hours worked
  • My responsibilities include training orientation leaders, coordinating the campus-wide sexual assault/relationship violence/stalking prevention program, serving on a number of committees that are not primarily concerned with LGBT issues, and being the campus administrator on call for night/weekend student emergencies

  • Responsible for helping with various Multicultural Affairs Programs but not directly planning them
  • Half of my time is spent advising another office in Student Activities and Centers
  • I'd say "Non-LGBT-specific" rather than "non-LGBT." For probably 1/3 of my job, I provide programming & services that are diversity-oriented generally: for example, in the summer, I counsel students in a summer transition program for 1st generation college students. Also, I assist with the ODPS department's Vision Awards ceremony and Tunnel of Oppression, two events highlighting experiences of many marginalized groups. Also, I am a trainer and workshop leader with National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), an anti-oppression program. However, even in this 1/3 of my time, LGBTQ students are a visible part of the mix.
  • We often parter with other groups to provide programs such as Diversity Peer Education, Multicultural Movie Marathons, World AIDS Day Celebrations, Multicultural Retreat, etc.
  • I give other diversity workshops, mainly "Anti-racist work" I make these workshops part of my program
  • Sexuality encompasses all aspects of human sexuality including contraception, STI/HIV/AIDS, relationships, sexual orientation and gender identity/expression, sexual health and all related aspects. Social justice issues are also health issues so I also provide diversity training, ALLY workshops, and working with LGBT clients and health issues
  • LGBT falls under the Student Life Office which also oversees Greek life, 285 recognized student organizations on campus, leadership programs, communiversity, programming board, ect.
  • I am charged with all diversity programming, including LGBT services
  • Women's programs as well. The office functions as both a women's and LGBT resource center
  • Consultant to other resource centers at my institution regarding development/fundraising activities
  • My position is made up of two part time jobs. I am the Assistant Director of Student Organizations, providing general support to all 200 student orgs that are on campus, maintain the office website and run the new club program
  • As a member of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, I help with programming that deals with diversity in general, especially racial/ethnic diversity. As of August, I also report to the VP of Student Affairs as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. (Additionally, I now report to the VP of Institutional Equity--advising her office on LGBT employee issues--for a grand total of three direct supervisors.)

  • The Office of Diversity Services serves both our AHANA (people of color) and GLBT populations. My position is primarily responsible for GLBT programs and services, but all staff in the office work in both areas at times
  • Coordinator of Housing/Res Life fulltime with additional contract as GLBTQ Services Advisor
  • I teach a summer UNI 100 course for first time, first generation, students of color, and advise the Women's Coalition. I am also the community liaison for Teach for America and Peace Corps
  • 3/4 of my job is in Residence Life as a coordinator, 1/4 is Director of the Stonewall Resource Center
  • I co-coordinate the Bias Response Team and also serve as a generalist on duty in the Office of Student Life
  • We collaborate on programming between offices, one example would be working with colleagues to do a series of multi-cultural competency workshops that are not specifically LGBTA related
  • The office has 3 other program responsibilities. Advocacy, Education, & Response on Hate Acts & Bias, Women's Programs, and Relationship & Sexual Violence Education, Advocacy and Response. My Co-Director handles the bulk of the latter
  • Supervise the director of the Graduate Student Resource Center; Faculty in Residence; faculty appointment in Grad School of Ed
  • Our office also coordinates women's & gender and sexual/relationship violence programs/services/resources
  • I am responsible for Women's Programs and Sexual Assault Programs under that area
