Q. Where can I find inexpensive (or better yet, free) resources on health issues for LGBT folks?

A. There are a variety of resources that are available for your use. This FAQ will only scratch the surface. Some good sources are commercial, some governmental, and some from nonprofit associations and agencies.

Check out gayhealth.com as a first stop for information. Despite the name, it is inclusive of LGBT health issues. It covers sex, drugs, emotions, general health,body image, food/nutrition, fitness, and "society" (issues such as parenting).


Free educational slide show about STD risk factors, treatment and prevention

Stay Safe! Stay Healthy! is a new educational slide show that was developed by K-Y® Brand Liquid to assist health care professionals educate members of the LGBT community about STD risk factors, treatment and prevention. It provides information on some of the most common STDs in friendly, easy to understand language and can be a valuable addition to STD education programs that are already in place at LGBT health clinics across the country.
