Subject :10 Years Later...(In)Visible Minority: Racism and Homophobia Among LGBTQ People of Color

I was asked to submit this by a colleague. Please see the information below.

Below you will find a link to an online survey about the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) students of color on college campuses. This research is being conducted by a team of college student affairs professionals from England, Colorado, Iowa and Washington.

We are requesting your assistance in forwarding the survey link to LGBTQ students of color on your campuses. The survey should take students approximately 20 minutes to complete, and the response deadline is Sunday, February 21, 2016. Results will be confidential.

Data gathered from the survey will be with shared with college student affairs professionals from across the country who attend a convention program entitled, “10 years later . . . (In)Visible Minority: Racism and Homophobia Among LGBTQ People of Color.” Your results will be compared to survey results on the same topic, to investigate what the experience of LGBTQ Students of Color. The program will be presented at the ACPA, College Student Educators International Annual Convention in Montreal, Canada this spring.

The survey has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of Colorado State University (IRB ID: 104-16H), and has met the standards for human subjects research.
