Position Summary:
· Lead role in the planning and delivery of experiential learning advising/counseling services in contact with the Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) and Office of Experiential Learning strategic initiatives promoting comprehensive educational opportunities for Delaware Valley University students.
· Coordinate the Experience360 (E360) Program application and registration process.
· Interface with faculty members, CSPD staff and academic deans in providing experiential learning opportunities and advising needs.
· Work closely with the Director of the Experience360 program to strategize program development and assessment.
· Represent the Center for Student Profession Development and Delaware Valley University to employers to effectively build relationships and partnerships that will benefit student internship and career opportunities.

Student Advising
· Understanding and interpreting the Experience360 (E360) Program requirements and academic options to facilitate the student’s pursuit of fields(s) of interest.
· Advise and educate students on experiential learning opportunities, requirements and registration process via in-person advising meetings, classroom visits, workshops and web/social media.
· Troubleshoot individual student needs as they relate to E360 and degree completion in coordination with Faculty, Academic Department Chairs, Deans, Registrar, Financial Aid and Office of the Bursar.
· Maintain current knowledge and understanding of industry trends within the various programs and majors of Delaware Valley University.
· Develop content for the CSPD website and social media outlets for the purpose of educating students on experiential learning and the E360 Program.

Program Administration
· Coordinate the E360 application and registration process including approval and troubleshooting of applications, creating course sections, registering students and enforcing campus and program policies and procedures.
· Work with office administrative support regarding employer communications including approvals and hours verifications.
· Assist Director of the E360 Program in program development initiatives such as assessment, experiential learning curriculum and program technology.
· Assist with planning and coordinating CSPD events that relate to experiential learning, such as career fairs, networking opportunities, campus interviews and panel discussions.

Collaboration with Campus Constituencies
· Maintain collegial relationships with internal constituencies such as deans, department chairs, faculty, and staff to support Experiential Learning programs for students, communicating and interacting regularly to advance relationships.
· Interface with faculty members and the Deans in providing experiential learning advising needs of individual students.
· Collaborate with faculty in the development of experiential learning programming to complement students’ academic curriculum.
· Serve as a resource for faculty, leading or participating in campus discussions related to experiential learning.

Career Counseling:
· Provide relevant and current resources to students for their career/internship search, including but not limited to:
o Internship and Career Coaching and Mentoring
o Career Assessment and Counseling
o Interview Preparation
o Resume Writing
o Cover letter and thank you letter writing
o Development of professional documents

Employer Engagement
· In collaboration with campus constituencies, identify influential alumni and friends of the University to expand structured opportunities that will enhance Delaware Valley University’s professional development opportunities for students.
· Research and work with potential employer partners to determine internship opportunities for students within all of the University’s majors and programs.

Qualifications:
Education: Required: Bachelor’s in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Education or Human
Resources related field.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in University Student Personnel, Social and Community Services, Education, Human Resources or related field. A
combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience: Three to five years of experience in student advising, academic program development, community outreach, job replacement, career or social services; Proven communication skills, to include student advising and counseling (face-to-face and via telephone). Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure,
meet deadlines, and work flexible schedule with possibility of occasional evening hours. Experience with Symplicity and Ellucian/Colleague preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Understanding and appreciation of the role of experiential learning as an important component of career development and academic completion for DelVal students; Strategic planning/visioning aptitude; Effective and clearly demonstrated relationship-building skills; Knowledge of career development concepts; Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple commitments; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must possess strong computer applications, internet research, database management and analytical skills.
