Mexican American Studies Instructor position at Kansas State University in the American Ethnic Studies Department beginning August 12, 2018. Applicant should have expertise in U.S. race and ethnic relations with focus on Indigenous Chicana/o Studies. The instructor will teach four 3-credit introductory courses during the first semester. Introductory class size is approximately 35 students.
Our academic unit attained departmental status in 2013. We are a cohesive unit with a strong vision and a supportive spirit of collegiality. We are poised to respond to the rapidly changing demographic dynamics and social changes in the American heartland and beyond. Kansas State University is a mid-sized university (25,000 students) situated in a small town, at the confluence of two rivers, with the largest remaining expanse of prairie nearby. Various large and mid-size cities are within short driving distance.
