The Assistant Director (AD) of Counseling Services assists the Director of Student Health and Counseling Services in providing, developing, and maintaining administrative oversight of Counseling Services. The AD provides clinical supervision and consultation to staff licensed counselors and provides for the coordination of case staffing with staff counselors and counseling trainees. The AD takes the lead on coordinating intake, including assigning and monitoring staff caseload and maintaining current and appropriate referral resources. The AD provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, works in a collaborative team-oriented environment that operates under a brief therapeutic model of service provision, creates developmental programming, and provides supportive leadership and advocacy for mental health policy and initiatives to support the academic mission of the university. The AD reports to the Director of Student Health and Counseling Services. |
