Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus seeks an Associate Director of Facilities who oversees campus planning and implementation of facilities management operations in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. Reporting to the Director of Fiscal Services, the Associate Director of Facilities has oversight and responsibility for the administrative and operational preventative maintenance program which includes: custodial services, grounds and landscape management, maintenance of building structures, plumbing, electrical, food service equipment, HVAC equipment, ice and snow removal, fleet management, and other facilities components.
Additionally, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of a five (5) year Integrated Facility Management Plan for campus refurbishment, acts as project manager or owners representative on all campus construction projects and is responsible to outside contractors / vendors, oversees the departmental budget and purchasing of materials, equipment, and parts. This position serves as liaison to the Manhattan Campus Department of Facilities and Faculty Planning. The campus seeks a dynamic leader with a comprehensive knowledge of buildings and equipment that can foresee problems, implement solutions, and meet deadlines.
Must be available to work varied hours during campus emergencies or adverse weather conditions and campus events.
