The Program Coordinator in the Pride Resource Center is a new full-time, 12-month professional staff member in the Pride Resource Center, a unit of the Student Diversity Programs and Services (SDPS) cluster, a department within the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the Pride Resource Center. This position will develop, coordinate, and implement education, outreach and support programming from an intersectional framework on social justice issues, with a specific focus on sexual orientation, gender identity, expression and romantic orientation. The Program Coordinator will coordinate and manage all aspects of student outreach events and support groups such as Queer Connections, Annual Queer BQ, National Coming Out Day, Trans day of Remembrance and Lavender Graduation. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for developing new programs and support groups that support student retention as intersections of identity. The Program Coordinator hires, trains and develops front desk student staff who support the day to day operations of the center. In addition, this position must actively embrace and role model Colorado State University’s Principles of Community (Inclusion, Integrity, Respect, Service, Social Justice).
