The Assistant Director is a full-time, 12-month professional staff member in the Pride Resource Center, a unit of the Student Diversity Services and Programs cluster, a department within the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. This position reports to the Director of the Pride Resource Center.
The Assistant Director shares in providing leadership and implementation for education and outreach programming on social justice issues, with a specific focus on sexual orientation, gender identity, expression and romantic orientation throughout the campus and community through various workshops and educational programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for all aspects of developing and managing major office programs including the Pride Leadership Retreat, Lavender Graduation, LGBT History Month, Trans Day of Remembrance, CSU Safe Zone program, and Visible Voices speaker’s panel program. Position also shares responsibility for continued development of educational and support programs to address the needs of students such as keynote speakers, and dialogue, awareness programs, peer mentoring programs throughout the academic year. In the absence of the Director represent and assume responsibilities of the Pride Resource Center.
