Hi everyone,
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh LGBTQ+ Resource Center is currently seeking a Coordinator of QTPOC Access and Retention to join our team this September! The turn around is quick: applications due August 15, 2021.

and the center’s website: https://uwosh.edu/lgbtqcenter/. Please share with your community and networks!

A summary of the position is as follows:

The Coordinator of Queer & Trans People of Color (QTPOC) Access & Retention reports to the Director of the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in the Division of Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence. This position’s primary purpose is to support queer and trans students of color as they navigate their way to graduation and to assist the director in the general operation of the LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Both a thorough and nuanced understanding of QTPOC students’ lived experiences, particularly in white-dominated institutional spaces, and of best practices for supporting QTPOC students will inform the Coordinator of QTPOC Access & Retention in building programs, events, outreach methods, and services to build student success and create a stronger campus infrastructure of support across all three UW Oshkosh campuses. This position will also be responsible for aiding the Director of the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in supporting all queer and trans students on all three campuses. Working in collaboration with the director and various advisory committees across campus, the Coordinator of QTPOC Access & Retention will work to promote, develop, and facilitate programs and services provided by the LGBTQ+ Resource Center both in support of LGBTQIA+ students and to provide greater educational equity for all students, paying particular attention to how gender and sexuality intersects with race, ability, class, nationality, and religion. To succeed in this work, the coordinator will spend time on all 3 UW Oshkosh campuses.
