Job Description

The Multimedia Project Coordinator is responsible to collaborate with our professional staff as well as student workers and student leaders to conceptualize, plan, coordinate, implement, and disseminate promotional campaigns across digital platforms.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in digital communications and multimedia or a related and applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related multimedia experience (website design, digital graphic arts and animation, photography, videography).
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
A positive, can-do attitude and a detail-oriented work style.
Ability to conceptualize, plan, and manage complex multimedia projects from start to finish with limited supervision.
Digital graphic design skills using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
Photography and videography skills, including framing and composition, lighting, and audio.
Knowledge of website design: specifically, WordPress.
Knowledge of basic marketing and mass communication principles, including social media.
Preferred Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in digital communications and multimedia or a related and applicable field.
Five years of related multimedia experience (website design, digital graphic arts and animation, photography, videography).
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

Certificate in multimedia design and development from an institution of higher education.
Certificate in animation that includes Photoshop, Flash design, and video editing from an institution of higher education.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with storyboard software such as StudioBinder or StoryBoard Pro.
Familiarity with Frame.io or similar video review/approval platforms.
Skilled with 3D/2D animation and motion graphics.
GoPro and drone video skills and experience.
Infographics conceptualization and design.
Responsibilities:

Project Coordination - In close collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs marketing and communication teams, conduct research, conceptualize, storyboard, and plan multimedia projects for the benefit of the division, its departments and programs, and ultimately for Texas A&M students.
Photo and Video Shooting - Capture still and moving images of campus scenes and events; and interviews and b-roll involving students, faculty, and staff
Photo and Video Editing / Production - Edit still and moving images for publication on websites, social media, and via other outlets. Creatively enhance still and moving images with type, animation, and other digital design elements to produce professional images.
Graphic Design - Design original graphics for use with still and moving images and for publication on the website, social media, and other platforms.
Collaboration, Training, and Professional Development
Collaborate with TAMU and DSA marketing and communication teams by scheduling, attending, and actively participating in meetings, workshops, and other gatherings that further the mission of the Division of Student Affairs’ marketing strategy. Train and share best practices with other marketing and communication professionals within the division. Participate in annual professional development activities that advance knowledge and skills in the area of multimedia project coordination. Other Duties as Assigned
