The University of Indianapolis seeks applications for Vice President & Chief Inclusion and Equity Officer. The Vice President & Chief Inclusion and Equity Officer provides vision, leadership, management, and strategic planning for inclusion and equity initiatives at the University of Indianapolis. Reporting directly to the President, they are also responsible for developing a system-wide approach to enhancing excellence through diversity and inclusion of students, faculty and staff. The Vice President & Chief Inclusion and Equity Officer will design, implement, and assess the diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure alignment with the University's long-term strategic plan. The Vice President & Chief Inclusion and Equity Office will help to create an organizational culture that sets clear expectations, provides appropriate support, and engenders respect and dignity at all levels of the organization. The person in this position will serve on the President's Cabinet.

In order to be considered, applicants must be a subject matter expert in diversity and inclusion and have at least five years of experience in a diversity and inclusion or related position. Master’s degree required (terminal degree preferred). Proven experience working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels in a large, complex institution, as well as with diverse external communities, to facilitate positive and collaborative processes and initiatives coupled with measurable programmatic deliverables is required. Evidence of initiating or founding units with clear and well-defined metrics for success is required. Working knowledge and current expertise with Title VII and Title IX legal requirements and programmatic responsibilities, as well as a thorough understanding of protected classes as described by Federal law are required.
