I am thrilled to share the posting for Ithaca College's Pride Fellow position. This position reports to me and is aimed at a recent graduate (bachelors or masters!) who is interested in gaining hands-on work experience in an LGBTQ Center.
Job description:
Ithaca College’s IC Pride Fellowship provides practical professional experience in a campus environment. The IC Pride Fellowship is a prestigious paid yearlong fellowship for recent graduates. It provides opportunities to gain insight into the fields of LGBTQ campus resource professionals, higher education, and student affairs, through a transformative early career experience. Fellows provide vital co-curricular programming and support services that help students succeed.
The Fellow in this highly competitive paid 12-month, year-round position is an integral part of the Center for LGBTQ Education, Outreach & Services team. The fellow is directly involved in the daily operations of the Center. Qualifications include excellent administrative, planning, organizational, communication (verbal and written), and computer skills. Candidates must be team-oriented, demonstrate initiative, and be self-motivated. Preference will be given to candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in Student Affairs or Higher Education, and have student leadership experience. Residence in Ithaca NY is required during the fellowship, and housing is provided as part of the compensation package. This is a full-time benefits-eligible position paid hourly at $19.02/hr (approx $37k/yr).
