Summary
The Senior Program Coordinator for the Office of Gender & Sexual Diversity will perform a variety of duties to facilitate the successful matriculation of our LGBTQIA+ students at Tulane and will report to the Director of Gender & Sexual Diversity. This position will be primarily responsible for advising our student organizations and assisting in the leadership and organizational development of our students and their organizations. The Senior Program Coordinator will provide assistance to staff with programmatic operational activities. Additionally, this position will assist with marketing and communications efforts for the office and provide assistance in the evaluation and assessment of student organization leadership and engagement.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as necessary in the performance of assigned duties.
Understanding of and commitment to assisting students in transition to the university experience.
Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), website design and proficient computer skills.

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and one year of directly related professional work experience with college age students from diverse backgrounds
Or

High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years of professional work experience with college age students from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in student personnel, college student development, higher education administration, or related field preferred.
Experience with college/university orientation and transition programs for traditional-aged first-year students.
Experience with college/university leadership development programs for traditional-aged students.
Demonstrated LGBTQIA student service and programming experience.
Experience with programming events and activities.
Experience advising student groups and facilitating college student leadership development sessions.

Salary Ranges
Minimum salary(USD $): 34200
Maximum salary(USD $): 58200

Pay decisions are based on education, experience, skills and budget. The lower third of the range typically applies to less experienced candidates; the middle third for more experienced; and the upper range for those with exceptional qualifications and sustained performance.
