Porous Media Research (PMR) Lab has a full-time opening for a postdoctoral research fellow to perform pore-scale numerical simulations of multiphase flow in networks of pores. Numerical modeling techniques such as pore networks and lattice-Boltzmann simulations have been successfully applied to better understand mechanisms and factors controlling fluid flow and transport in porous media.
The position is available starting Fall 2018, for an initial duration of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory progress and availability of funds. The successful candidate will join the Porous Media Research (PMR) Lab at the Geology Department. Kansas State University offers competitive salary/benefits and a collaborative research environment
