Subject :Join the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District & Inspire Hope - We are Hiring our 1st District Manager
In the 1970s, Harvey Milk stood on a soap box at the corner of Castro and Market and inspired an entire generation of LGBTQ people that they had to have hope – hope for a better future and a day when every LGBTQ individual would be equal.
50 years later, the Castro LGBTQ Cultural District (CQCD) wants to inspire a new generation who want to help build a safer, more welcoming, and inclusive neighborhood – and we need a passionate leader to join the District to help set the direction of the storied neighborhood for the next 50 years.
If you are an experienced leader who is passionate about creating a diverse LGBTQ community in the Castro that leaves no one behind – particularly elders, youth, LGBTQ+ Black and Brown people, Transgender and non-binary people, and queer women – then the CQCD invites you to apply to be our inaugural District Manager. We are currently seeking a full-time District Manager who is also committed to these values and will champion diversity, equity and inclusion in all of our organizational decision making.
