Position Summary
The Assistant Director reports to the Director of OMA and is a member of the Community Development and Student Engagement (CDSE) team. The Assistant Director develops and facilitates educational experiences, trainings, and dialogue to develop awareness, knowledge, and skill building of USF community members to engage in diverse environments. The Assistant Director leads the diversity education and assessment efforts of the department and contributes to cultivating an inclusive and culturally vibrant campus environment. The Assistant Director will thrive within a progressive team of professionals who serve as advocates for diverse student populations and model the way for inclusive excellence.

Key Duties:
The architecture, coordination, and facilitation of diversity education workshops and the UndocuAlly training, developing a Student Peer Education Team, managing the International Buddy Program and supervision of a professional staff member in LGBTQ+ Initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in higher education administration, international/global studies, cultural communication and conflict, counseling or related field. Three years experience working in the field of diversity/multicultural affairs. Experience in conducting diversity training workshops, and presentations. Two to three years of supervision experience for paraprofessional staff and student staff.
