Subject :Support Services and Wellness Advocate - University of Michigan Spectrum Center
Spectrum Center at the University of Michigan is hiring for a support services and wellness advocate.
The center's support services are designed to complement campus and community resources provided through partner programs to meet the expressed needs of students. The support services and wellness advocate will lead the planning and implementation of initiatives focused on connecting students to the resources, services, and programs in place to meet their needs.
This portfolio spans four critical areas of Spectrum Center's work:
- support services and resource navigation for students, with a particular focus on trans and nonbinary populations;
- developing and implementing events that support the physical, emotional, financial, and professional well-being and development of students;
- building the capacity of faculty and staff to support the physical, emotional, financial, and professional well-being and development of LGBTQIA2S+ students; and,
- managing affinity-based and academic transition programs. Areas of focus include addressing housing, financial, and social support needs through such things as scholarships, emergency funding, campus and community referrals, drop-in groups, and mentorship programs.
